Promotion of Italian excellences does not stop at Dubai Expo 2020.

During the pandemic, international trade fairs and events suffered from huge setbacks, but they did not stop worldwide. The 2020 edition of the World Expo was originally scheduled to open at the end of October, but due to the pandemic, it had to be postponed until 2021. Despite this, none of the countries set to attend with their pavilions stopped preparing for it. Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Luigi Di Maio, visited the Italian Pavilion last week, one year ahead of its opening. The Minister reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to promote and support the country showcase, as government investments pour in to ensure that it will be a success among visitors. Sustainability, circular economy, and digital architecture were the chief principles informing the project and, in the words of Paolo Glisenti, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai, it will “allows us to create not only an exhibitive space but also a space that represents the height of Italian ingenuity.
